About the Society

The Japanese College of Angiology was established in 1960. The College is an associate society of the International Union of Angiology.

The Japanese Society for Vascular Surgery was established in 1992. The Society aims to promote to conduct academic research and education on vascular surgery and to promote the advancement and spread of vascular surgery.

The Japanese Society of Phlebology was established in 1981 aims to the advancement and dissemination of research on phlebology. The Society liaises and cooperates with the International Union of Phlebology and related scientific organizations.

Asian Society for Vascular Surgery (ASVS) was established in 1992. Since October 2008, AVD is the official journal of ASVS.
